About

"Though we can't possibly know where we're headed, get ready to go anyway..." Yeah, I said that. I was trying to answer a riddle of sorts that Travis had given my partner, Elizabeth and I. It wasn't the right answer, but it did get me to thinking along those lines. There's a song by a group called Van Zandt in which appears one of my favorite lyrics: "If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans." Hallelujah! Just ten years ago I had been down so long that it looked like up to me. But as it turns out, everything that I failed at in life early on gave me all sorts of knowledge that has enabled me to be successful in my endeavors now. If you've been to a state or county fair in the last eight years, somewhere in these United States, its very likely you've seen our show, Fables Of The West. I started the cowboy comedy show (little cowboys on little horses) back in 2001, with just three fairs and three cast members, and the hopes that it would give me something to do when I was on hiatus from the film industry (I was a struggling stunt rider/actor). Since then, we've done over 500 fairs in their entirety, in 31 states, performed in Vegas, been on the Tonight Show and opened up for some of the biggest recording artists in the world. And we've had the good fortune of getting to know Travis Fox, his wife Jessica and their family. Travis has also allowed us to get up on his stage before some of his shows and play with his crowd. We've had the opportunity to try some different things up there, all in the name of fun and getting his crowd worked up before he takes the stage (as if he needs someone else to get his crowd worked up). But I've also gotten to know Travis and become his friend. This guy is the real deal, in case you didn't know. This past year, he counseled my fiancee (now my wife) and I, as she was working through some past relationship issues. And he gave us life lessons, in ways we could understand and in a fashion that would allow us to recall them when needed. Lord knows we all need these kind of life lessons at our disposal. And those things he said to us, little gems that make a difference, helped us get through a pivotal point in our relationship.So...Elizabeth and I are married now, raising six awesome kids between us, living in a beautiful house in Oceanside, CA, and thanking God everyday. Business is booming and the sky's the limit. If you would have told me ten years ago where I was headed, I would have said you were crazy. So just believe. There's power in believing. Oh...and remember that its never too late to have a happy childhood.

I watched the videos and they are so fun. It looks like you enjoy what you do and that it makes people laugh. I know you put a smile on my face. I saw you at the State Fair in WA this fall and I think you are even more entertaining in person. Keep making people happy. : )
