About

I was born in Nebraska , raised in Virginia, lived in North Carolina then Pennsylvania where I married my 1st husband and had two boys. Divorced after 12 years and decided to learn to drive a truck. I had 2 brothers that drove and I caught the bug. I drove by myself when women just didn't do that. I had to prove that a woman could do the same job as a man and do it on my own. For 23 years I drove all 48 state as well as Canada and Alaska. I don't know how many people can say that they have been in every state in the US except Hawaii, but I have. I think if I add all the miles up I have probably have 2 million mile under my belt. In 1997 while I slept in my sleeper I had a very rude awakening at 2 in the morning when another truck rolled off the fuel island and slamed into my truck forcing me into the truck next me and him into the truck next to him. Not fun!!! It's been difficult for me to come to the realization that I can't do what I love to do and that's drive. But through it all I met my present husband and after 20 of being divorced I got married againat the age of 53. I never thought that would ever happen again. They say good things come to those who wait and least expect it. My youngest son lives in Washington and my oldest lives in Nebraska. I now have 7 grand children and one great-grand daughter. I always said that if I knew grand children were so much fun I'd have had them first. I lived in Wa. for 12 years before moving to Colorado in the heart of gas field country. My husband drives water truck for the gas fields and I stay home and play on the computer. I met Travis 14 years ago when he first came to the Western Washington fair and I think I hold the record on being hypnotized by Travis. I think we're over the 400 times mark now. He does wonders for me with his pain management program and if your a truck driver you know how much you can hurt at the end of a 1000 mile day. I love to here from more drivers and we'll compare our war stories.
