WELL DONE! Glad you acted on the advice I gave you! We are starting to reach the world now! I am excited about coming back to Boreal in Jan. 2008 and hosting a couple of different workshops. Any help you can lend to Yves or myself would be greatly appreciated in this project!

I love the name of this sight !
I was able to attend a workshop of Travis Fox this morning at Collège Boréal in Sudbury. I spent the rest of the day talking about it and now I am still thinking about it. I asked a question about how I could help my 5 year old daughter with her constant cries and comments about how much she dislikes school and its boring. I kept asking her WHY she felt this way and the answer to this always in crying about how its boring! Fox`s suggestion was to ask her "What can you do to make school better ? ". I spent the afternoon also thinking about the momment I was going to ask her and what would happen next. So here goes...I get a little time with her and ask her...how was school today ? she responds by saying she hates it...so I pipe in....what can you do to make it better ? and she responds...well I could make my own school and there I could play more. I thought ok....how do I make that happen ??? a little imagination would help right now ! I respond by telling her that its a really great idea and she just thought that answer was great and then turned around and said she liked school a little bit. WOW ! What just happened ??? It made me feel happy that we were connecting on some level instead of always feeling like I am pushing her to do things because I want her to do them. I am going to retrain the way I choose to say things to my son and daughter and I will definately check in and let you know how things are going.
